Is it next month apple plan to bring out new iPhones ? if so what would you do in my situation, iv currently got a iPhone se but looking for 1 with a larger screen but have a limited budget any advice would be greatly accepted thanx
 
just bigger than i have atm tbh mark , now too sure of my budget atm :)

Traditionally yes, Apple does announce new iPhones in September. Another thing to remember is that current models see a reduction in pricing when the new models are released. That may fit your budget better than the newest release.

Sell your se and pick up an iPhone 7 or iPhone 8, next month.

I say next month because when the new iPhones come out, usually people sell their old devices at a discount before they upgrade.

The iPhone 7 is still very much a capable iPhone. It has almost identical features of the iPhone 8, it has the water resistance rating, 3D Touch, stereo speakers, the camera takes great photo’s, the A10 Fusion processor is still plenty fast, I still think it’s a great Purchase if one can find one for a good price.
 
so if someone bought a iPhone se today how long before updates become unavailable ? , i ask this cos i think its a shame this phone is on the way out unless something similar becomes available in the future.

I recommend the Iphone 8 regular size. You get a lot for your money.
 
I like the iPhone 8 but keep going back to my se as its just a nice size and fits in my pocket so easy

Eventually you'll be forced to move to a bigger phone I'm afraid, but I'm assuming SE will be receiving software updates for at least another three years (5S: 2013-2019 -expected by me- SE: 2016-2022?).
 
Thats cool as its a fab little iPhone and takes some beating in my opinion
 
If you can move to a bigger iPhone, I'd point you in the direction of the iPhone 8 or 8+. Same innards as the X, great battery life, very robust hardware. I have an XS Max and it's nice as well, but I just don't think it's price is justified. Further, the battery life of the XS doesn't match that of my 8+.

My wife is also hanging onto her SE, as she loves the size and form factor.

She’s repeatedly stated that size DOES indeed matter despite me insisting others say it doesn’t.
 
I am sticking with my se its just a great phone size is fab , who needs a big phone anyway - im a happy bunny
