New iPhones Fast-Charge Question

Would it be possible to fast-charge one of the new iPhones through a MacBook Pro’s USB-C ports instead of having to directly connect into the computer’s power adapter? Seems tedious to unplug your laptop and use it’s charger to charge your phone faster.

not good idea ....

apple doesnt recommand to do that , you can do but not good for your battery

It would charge but not at a fast charge rate as you would only be getting the USB power that is provided to other usb devices so about 5-6V @ 0.5-2A
