I just bought a new nano...I also have a 4g iPod.
My question is, do I have to install the new software cd for the new nano or will my computer automatically detect it.
How do I go about the setup when using two different ipods on the same itunes.
Thanks once again.

I assume you are installing it on an Apple (OS X)? Then you do not need to install the drivers; it will just work.

I don't think you need to setup iTunes to recognize two different iPods; just give them different names and it should be fine.

Yeah, EricNau is right as ever. If you already have an iPod then iTunes (on PC) or Software Updater (Mac) will have been prompting you too keep you iPod Software Updater up-to-date. That, plus iTunes, is all you need. 🙂
