Any chance we will see a new iPod touch?

I would be in the market for one, but the current one is a tad slow on the latest FW so i would wait if there was a chance of a newer version.

Or do we consider them obsolete at all?

I am of the opinion that the iPod touch is done. Just find an older used iPhone and use it without a SIM card if you want an iPod touch.

There's always a chance, but I personally think that chance is very low.

I would love to see a 256GB iPod touch to replace my 160GB Classic, but I'm afraid it will never come to market.

One can always hope though... I would not bet any money on it.

Personally I'm hoping it stays up to date with the lowest-end iPhone (or minus a year). The iPod touch 6th gen has a processor akin to the iPhone 6, which was discontinued this past fall. It's always possible they'll release one this spring or summer again.

Remember, the latest iPod touch had very small rumors crop up only weeks before it was released.

I completely agree, while it would be nice to have it also as big as the iPhone 6 i don't mind if the external stays the same as the current (they are nice) all I am really asking for is a faster processor and more ram, and possibly a better camera.

I just hope if they do refresh it the touch gets a better battery. I am always recharging mine.

I thought that without the 3g sucking battery the life of it would be adequate...I just hope a new one comes, the 5th gen I had was painfully slow even just switching pages to select the app...
