I am getting a new iPod touch, with the latest update,
and was wondering what Jailbreak will do for it ?

Does Jailbreak allow 3rd Party Apps to be installed on Ipod touch ?

yeah it definitely does,
you can do ALOT of stuff with your ipod jailbroken..

There's actually numerous websites out there that are dedicated to apps for your itouch/iphone

you can get the application set for free if you jailbreak your ipod

But will you still need Jailbreak when the SDK for ipod touch and iphone is released next month ?

it all depends on how much apple allows you to do with the SDK
