As soon as I take it out of the box I am going to stick some sort of case on it. I am going to go with no screen protection unless people start reporting that the screen scratches fast, faster than other iPods. Other iPod touch models have been fine without screen protection and I have watched my cousins who are children and throw their devices around abuse them.

I'm thinking of getting a wrapsol ultra when I order mine. That and maybe a silicone case to go with it .

Anti-glare screen protector...

Just received my new 4G touch this afternoon and transferred my old anti-glare screen protector to it. It barely fits since the iPod is a little smaller but mostly I noticed that it covers the front facing camera making the image really fuzzy. Guess that I'll be buying a new screen protector when they come out!

From watching a few of the unboxing videos, it looks as though apple has decided to go with a protective non-see-through cover for the screen that must be taken off in order to gain access to the device. I still have an new screen protector lying around from last gen, so I may just make due for the time being until the big stores start getting quality accessories.

left over screen protector from the 5 pack i bought for previous ipod touch....which does not fit well but it keeps my oily finger smears off. my dad volunteered to make a couple holes in my previous case to accomodate the cameras since there is nothing else available. it still fits tho because its a leather folio style flip open case.

I don't need a screen protector, but some case on the back is good as long as it doesn't affect the way i hold it, if it affect that i'd rather have it scratched than not holding it comfortably, A slim Silicone or hard plastic case would do it as long as it wont touch the screen edge

i'm using my Belkin from my 3g I'm returning to Costco today . I made a hole for the Camera. I not a perfect fit of course, but at least it enough protection until I get the corecct size soft case.

i'm using a nintendo DS lite padded case for carrying it around.

wish good cases were out. the touch is so slippery, and too thin to get a comfortable grip on.

I cradled it in a tissue until I got screen protectors on the front and back. I will have screen protectors on until I get a case
