is it still considered a 4th gen iPod touch?

so... my ipt 4 is STILL current?

awesome, it'll sell easily on craigslist :D
 
They haven't changed anything, except added a white one, and their website doesn't say it's the "new" iPod touch.

So I think it's still the old 4th generation and let's hope apple still have something to reveal later this year.

Yes, the website does say it's the new iPod Touch. Just above the iPod touch on this page is the image below that says "NEW"

It's the same. Same product number and everything.

The reason for the New label is the white option.

There is no 4.5G or 5G iPod touch. It's a current 4G iPod touch.
 
Yup, same device, just color for each model and price point change on the 8GB model.

Still a good device, but I'd like an upgrade to a better camera, an A5 and more RAM, and hopefully 128GB model.
