iPod touch new itouch and 8.0

i do have tunes on my itouch
after the download is complete---what do i do to keep my tunes on my ipod
then afteer puthem on itunes

ok what? you downloaded iTunes to your iPod or your sync'd with iTunes?

if the latter then anything that is in iTunes as long as you have everything set correctly will stay in iTunes and if you loose tracks off your iPod you can re-sync
