New iTunes safe with former jailbreak?

Currently I have iTunes 10.0.1 and have a jailbroken iPod Touch 3th generation Mc Model.

Is it safe to install iTunes 10.1 without any issues coming up for my iPod?

Yes, I have the same iPod as you and I have it installed. It works fine.
