New keyboard ?? Whats going on Apple

Did Apple update the keyboard in attrition to the 512MB of VRAM ?

F4 used to bring up Dashboard (when it was unchecked under MC to be used as a space), now.. it F4 brings up Launchpad, so Mission Control is the only way to get DB.

Whats the new key combo ?

Apple updated the keyboard with Lion on the MBAs, maybe it has done the same for the late 2011 MBP? Do you have such a MBP?

I use F12 as the dashboard button (I have enabled standard F keys though). I have the early 2011.

The changes to the keyboard were made since the time when the MacBook Pros started shipping with OSX Lion preinstalled. The changes did not take effect from the Late 2011 models, but some time after the Early 2011 models.

You can also put Dashboard in your dock and get to it that way.

I have the new MBP with Lion pre-installed. Only got it today.

By default, tried it, seems the FN + F12 key you mentioned brings Dashboard up though.
