I haven't seen a new thread today about Lion coming out tomorrow! Lol what s surprise. But I heard the new rumors say the 19th and the 26th. Thoughts?

why would someone post another date post? it'll be false anyways, these people seem to enjoy making us excited for a product by posting lies for us to read.

I heard a rumor that there is a rumor that Mac OS X Lion is being rumored to be released tomorrow (or not), but that just a rumor. Shhh.”

Apple has to release Lion by the 29th of July because it falls on a Friday if it wanted to meet the July timetable. I cannot see Apple releasing Lion on a Saturday or Sunday and besides it there is only 2 weeks left to the end of the month.

I am really patient I can wait to get lion because it requires a lot of planning before i upgrade from a 32 bit to 64 bit, making sure all hardware and software is compatible. Who knows some software packages might need to be reinstalled and maybe some 32 bit hardware drivers might not work with lion

There is a chance that Lion may be delayed to August or September or later because bugs has still yet to be ironed out.

Or it could be Sat or Sun 30th / 31st tbh - beauty of the App store surely is that they can release whenever they want??

It's not that sites enjoy lying to you, necessarily. They just enjoy the adviews they get from all the people searching "OSX Lion Relaese Date".

Oh yes. People should just hush up on the rumors. After all, MacRumors readers don't want to be bothered by rumors.

I am a lurker. I tend to stalk this site when some big updates (software and hardware) come around and I have not seen so many people grasping at straws as I see for this update.

Why would you buy an official release when it comes out if you have the GM?

The GM IS THE official release that will be release to public this month..

If you paid for the developer account and installed the GM, all you have to do is wait for software update...

This.

People don't seem to get this.

If you're a developer you already have the same Lion (same build) that consumers will see sometime later this month.

You paid for your developer account (which aint that cheap.) This is your bonus.

The simple answer to that is that there are a lot of people here and else where that are not developers and either have developer accounts when they have no business having them or have got the OS from more dubious sources simply because they are too impatient to wait for the official consumer release.

On a related note a lot of these same people come on to forums asking for help when they encounter various issues and I for one have no sympathy for them as they are installing and running the OS at their own risk when they have no reason to. The same goes for the iOS 5 beta.
