Hello all, I tried searching "Black Box Mac" but it just came back with something different to what I have.

It started around 2am this morning, and I have just turned my MBP back on to find this little rectangle shaped box is synching with everything. It shows me new tweets from Twitter for Mac, when someone is typing on Skype and then their reply and what song is now playing on Spotify and iTunes.

I don't have a problem with it, I would just like to know what it is.

    Can anyone help?

You could always take screenshots and attach it to your post.

Have a look at Activity Monitor ( Applications / Utilities /) and select All Processesand sort by PROCESS NAME to see what the culprit may be, the go to File > Print and save it as a PDF and attach it to your post.

image below uses sorting by CPU as an example

On the upper right, that is Growl, you can find it in System Preferences at the bottom. Must have been installed with some other application.
