New Mac Book Pro

I'm thinking about upgrading my MBP in the next year; just trying to get the timing down right. Currently I have a 2.5 year old 2.4ghz MBP with upgraded 4GB Ram, 500GB HDD, 256mb Video Card (don't remember the model and I'm on my work PC).
1. Is it even worth upgrading to the current models of the MBP?
2. Is there any new and noteworthy models / features expected up and coming worth waiting for?

2. New processors (Arrandale) maybe next year.

1. No if your current does its job fine

2. New CPUs (Arrandale & Clarksfield), GPUs (nVidia GT200M series) and cheaper/faster SSDs. I think they are worth the waiting
