New Mac from time machine back-up - home sharing not working

I set up my new mac from a time machine back up.

I have synced all my devices to the new computer.

I have unauthorised my old mac.

Everything is on the same network.

I can use my devices and the remote app to control iTunes on my new computer.

Hoever, no matter what I do in iTunes or my device settings, my shared library will not appear on my iPad or iPhone.

Have I missed a step?

Any help much appreciated.
