which one is better spec? I've already owned widescreen monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse. I don't need the portable computer. The price is very similar so which one should I pick?

Mini, hands down. It’s a little hoss or Mimi macpro imo. You’ll be able to upgrade the ram yourself to 32gb or 64gb for heaps cheaper than what Apple charges.

this is the mini forum so most answers should be mini. but even so, there's no way the air is better unless you really need the portability.
