The advantage of the skull canyon is its TB3 interface, you can buy something like the razor core

And you have yourself something the size of a Mac mini, that turns into a desktop gaming replacement.

The future is looking really good. I think small form factor computers with add on devices such as the core are the future.

On the notebook side, Novena intrigues me. I'll take a closer look next year, wonder whether anything like it will be FreeBSD-friendly. https://twitter.com/novenakosagi/status/646915998516310017 wood + aluminium even more intriguing, although for me it's wrecked by that stupid red nipple instead of a trackpad :-/
