New Mac Pro ATI HD 2600 works in old Mac Pro - CONFIRMED

So the HD 2600 now works with the MacPro (2006)? Last I heard about two weeks ago is that ATI was working on an upgrade so they would work. So it must be cloned from an iMac? (http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/imacsoftwareupdate121tiger.html)

I've been using a Radeon HD 2600XT in my original 2.66GHz Mac Pro for over a month now, and its been working perfectly. Plug & play basically. Didn't try it on 10.4.x, but works just fine on 10.5 (was already installed on my machine).

Much snappier than the GeForce 7300GT and a very reasonably priced for an (Apple) upgrade. No point in the $400 1900XT if you're not a game player.
