NEW MAC PRO NO THUNDERBOLT? is this true?? WHY
It's not even a new Mac Pro.
It's the 2010 Mac Pro with 133Mhz faster CPU and lower prices
This has to be a mistake no way NO WAY NO Bleeping way what the f$%# I have been waiting a year and a half for this noooooooo! GURR!
If you needed a new Mac Pro a year and a half ago, why didn't you buy a Mac Pro a year and a half ago?
A year and a half ago the Mac Pro was a good computer.
Because what would he complain about now?
The update is terrible.
It's the end of the Pro...Apple are selling them off, very sad.
The update is terrible, I agree. But whining about a wait for a year and a half is just ridiculous. I needed a new Mac Pro a year and a half ago, and I bought it. It's still a very powerful computer, and with upgrades I'll make it last for at least 3-4 more years. At least.
I don't know what would have been worse, not updating the MP, or this.
Wow...2009 Mac Pros again... to almost the same prices as 2009...
Why oh Why !!!
At least Apple could have put a 6 core in the entry model....correct me if I´m wrong but it is still west mere CPU´s...they came 2009.
Indeed it's like, a scenario so bad we couldn't even imagine it!
It would have been better if they had scrapped it.
I'm off to spec up a Dell Precision!
All the speculating that we did for the past year or so on thunderbolt, sata3, pci3 and usb3 built up all these expectations, and apple surprised us with a fist in the butthole!
I'm going to wait until the new iMacs and get that instead. Upgrade sooner. OR get the new MacBook Pros and use that as my main machine.
And not just that. For us over here it goes up in price 200 to 2,699!!. Time to reconsider what way to use Mac in future.
I don't think the buyers guide should class this as an update...
I'm getting a mac mini
you can call it new mac pro, if you want. i am building a new macpro using pc parts
It really pisses me off that Apple thinks they can get away with selling this as the new mac pro. I hope some unsuspecting people don't fall for this. This is really really cruel and unusual punishment.
The only thing "new" about it is the level of contempt Apple is willing to show its professional user base.
Maybe he was waiting for non-CPU updates, like USB 3.0, TB, or SATA3?
