Just had the store load, Mac Pro had a "new" badge. (not loading now)
Stop freaking out everyone.
"New" Tag next to Mac Pro at the apple store
the "new" tag is now tagged with the Mac Pro. When I select the Mac Pro I get Store is down...
Silent Update In The Works
Go to apple.com click the server tab now if I am not mistaken I don't think they made a lion server mac pro.
Mac Pro With Lion Server
YEA! I am Getting My Credit Card Ready
New Mac Pros are on There Way
The store came up and went down again.
There was a NEW by the Mac Pro icon.
Can't wait to see what we get.
Exactly the same happened to me....when I clicked to see the specs it went back to 'We'll be Back'...
Seriously doubt, though possible, that they would "quietly" update the MacPro.
New Mac Pro
In online store.
Saw that too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they are there
look at the top right corner.
Nothing new unfortunately.
They've dropped the slowest single CPU model and reduced the prices on the other models. Nothing else has changed. USB 2, SATA II, no Thunderbolt, Radeon 5770 and a big xxxx you with love from Apple.
But that page has been available the whole time. That's not the Apple Store.
I would say give it a moment first.
That's the same Mac Pro that's been around for 2 years.
One can only hope. Been a long time coming and I need a new machine.
It says NEW next to it.
Ain't that the truth
New Mac Pros Too!
Although the Apple Store is still down, I stumbled across this:
Look closely at the top right...
2 years ago yes, incredible.
NEW Mac Pro Models
As you can see there is a NEW badge on the Mac Pro models.
The Verge has initial details, if it's true, prepare for unhappiness:
Of course it's not the Apple store, but it's changed some time in the last couple of minutes. They always change them just before the store comes back up. The MBP pages are up already so you check out the new one with pretty animations.
Looks like they've added Civilisation 5 to the benchmarks as well!! I am also pretty sure that the benchmark pages used to show the 2.93 12 core vs the 2009 2.93 8 core... now it's showing the 3.06 12 core. I am fairly sure since I've spent most of today staring at these pages and refreshing them since they normally get updated before the actual store.
They pages get updated seamlessly and are indeed showing the new "upgrade" to 3.06 12 core. Lol
Store is up
Here's your new Mac Pros...
From the new store...
I just got onto the page, but bad news no 16-Core, no new graphics.
BUT, I think the site update isn't finished...
