New Mac User, Another Newb Question

Alright so I like to record videos, and i want to place a new folder in the video file just for recorded videos. However, when I do this i can't add a folder or drag one from the desktop into the movies. Is there any way i can do this?

I don't understand why you can't. It's really pretty straightforward. Drag that new folder from anywhere and place it on top of the Movies folder until it highlights. Then release.
