No. We don't have many problems with it at all. She rarely, if ever, complains about lag.

Thanks, very helpful.

Just came back from a store where I looked at both the 12" and the 13" models.

I like the size and weight of the 12", very portable.

The 13" is not bad either, and the screen is just great. The touch bar seems very attractive as well.

Is the battery of the 13" TB too bad? Is it noisy?

Is it OK to buy the Mac with 8 GB? I would buy with 16 GB if I could. However, any custom Mac will end up adding too much to the cost from the supplier I am buying. A 13" with 16 GB would cost more than the high end 15". So, I guess I will have to stick with 8 GB or go 15".

  • The main use would be Internet browsing, watching videos and listening to music, reading PDFs, and, of course, Microsoft Office (not alternatives, not watered-down versions, but the full Office with support for 3rdparty supplements).
  • I want the laptop to be fast and to respond quickly to my commands, although I do not need the horsepowerto edit videos or run games.

Based on this workload, you’d be fine with 8gb.

Thanks.

Now a friend offered me to sell me his 13" MacBook Pro Touch Bar with a 6th gen Core i7 processor, 16Gb and 512 GB SSD. Is it worth it instead of a new Kaby Lake model with Core i5, 8 GB and 512 GB?
