New Macbook Air Mac/Word install?

Lots going on these days and still not up to scratch, but how do you now install Mac's Microsoft Word bundle on a new Macbook Air machine - not clear for me after reading Applestore info? 😕

1. Find a download (legal of course) and buy a serial key.
2. Purchase the external Super Drive for Air.

In what format do you have the bundle?

If it is in a CD, or DVD, format, then you will have to beg, borrow, or buy an external optical superdrive and install it that way.

I bought a superdrive when I bought my MBA because I wished to install my legit Office for Mac suite; besides, it's still used, for I'm the sort that still actually buys CDs, rather than simply downloading music.
