What extra features do you like with the New Macbook Air- November 2008 Release

I didn't notice it before, but yes, HDD is SATA... however, there's no clue about SSD. If it means I can get a low-end Air and update later to a good SSD, it'd be great... One upgrade more! 😉
 
The extra features i like in the New MBA

- better graphics for gaming.
-less heat issues
-intel chip- 45nm SSF Penryn processor -for the MacBook Air to replace the 65nm SFF Merom used previously. The new processors will boost performance in part by adding cache memory. The 45nm Penryn CPUs have 3MB or 6MB of cache.
 
I cant wait for some early reviews showing:

- increase in battery life due to 45nm chips (if any)
- decrease in heat due to said chips (if any)
- speed and effect on battery life of new SSD drive

Other then that, my only real complaints are:

- No built in 3g modem. Come on Apple, it is the Macbook AIR not Macbook BIG MODEM DONGLE ON SIDE!
- Doesnt have the new glass trackpad.

Too bad we have to wait until after the 4th for reviews, I will be too busy celebrating Obama's victory to pay attention to laptops for a day or two! 🙂

no biggie for you? is that why you're selling your MBA in ur sig??
 
Glad to see the improvements, but it is surprising that the Air did not get the Glass Trackpad or the newer black screen bezel. When you click the "Mac" tab on Apple.com, the Macbook Air now sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the line.

I imagine it will, but the parts were needed for the Macbook right now. Actually I am glad it didn't in a way, because now I have less of a reason to want an upgrade yet.

It really needs a 3g option, and Apple needs to figure out how to get better battery life out of it (another hour or two would be a nice sweet spot). In due time I guess.

I'm glad it didn't get the black bezel! On the contrary, I don't think it sticks out like a sore thumb but it looks super awesome. It's got just the right amount of black.

3G option would be great, but that can already be achieved through tethering on the netshare app.
