I would love it if Apple brought back the glowing logo on the macbooks. It may seem superfluous, but it was a detail that made macs stand out from other laptops, which is not insignificant. Plus it just looks really cool. I think Jobs would never have ditched it.

My old 2012 MacBook Pro has a glowing apple on its lid and I never see it. That's because it faces away from me when I'm using it. I couldn't care less if other people see it either when I'm using it.

To each their own, I suppose.

The execution is in the details and the Apple logo is a great detail. Cook and company aren't involved in details as this is a business, not a passion for them.

Sad but true. Tim Cook only cares about money. He's not passionate about the Apple brand. We need someone at the helm who is passionate about Apple brand and it's history.

If Cook didn't care about money as well as the products, I doubt Apple's stock would be as high as it is.

Being passionate about a product does not automatically translate into longevity, increased stock value, or a legion of dedicated users IMHO.
