I have a white macbook and am looking at upgrading the hard drive from the standard 120gb to a new 320gb drive from western digital.
Would this hard drive work properly in the macbook and be of good quality?

Another question I have is that I bought this macbook with tiger pre-installed and a leopard drop-in disc. When I put in the new hard drive do I need to reinstall tiger from the original discs and then upgrade to leopard from the drop-in disc and run software update? Are all the apps that came pre-installed going to be installed again with the repair discs?

Sorry for so many questions and thanks for the help.

Yes, that HDD will do fine for you.

On the installation discs I have no idea. I would assume its best to install Leopard then iLife, then use Software update.

Yes, load Tiger than load the Leopard upgrade disk and do an update.
The WD drive is fine.
