Hello,

I recently bought a brand new Macbook M4 24GB, 512GB.

When I've finished using it, I shutdown & don't put it in sleep mode.

Even though it's fully shutdown, I find that when I come to use the Macbook M4 a day or two later, the battery percentage has dropped by about 2%.

Is this normal behaviour, please?

Many thanks.

I do use sleep mode myself, so can’t say from personal experience. But I will say that a 2% difference in battery charge after a day or two, would not concern me.

I think that is about right. Even though the system is "off", there are still parts of the logic board powered up and consuming energy, not least looking for the power button to be pressed, or other keys.
