So, I got myself a new rMBP 13" 2.4/8GB/256GB and have 14 days to test it out to see if there is anything wrong with it. Can anyone share with me what sort of test I should do? I know about the image retention issue and will surely check it out. Any other things I need to be aware of?

Thanks :)

Actually, you have a year of warranty to figure out if anything is wrong with it, and then you can extend it for a couple more years for $229.99 (or a similar price). About the image retention test, just use your computer for a while and if you notice any IR, get it replaced. If you don't notice anything, it is working fine, just don't look for problems by using an IR test.

I'd recommend you use it as its intended, if you don't spot anything and the odds are you won't then you can enjoy your purchase.

Image retention is a thing you will probably note only when switching to login screen. The worst issue is uneven yellowing at the bottom left.

Got my rMBP 13 and did a quick test regarding IR. No issue so far :)

I do notice slightly yellow tint on the bottom of the display though. Hmm..

Anyway, can anyone point to me the thread about switching from Windows to OSX please? I remember I saw it somewhere but now I can't find it :D
