hey all.

1) when is the mbp likely up for a refresh?

2) hdmi? why not, it's already on the mini and could replace the apple proprietary jack with a single, standardized HDvideo/audio cable

3)USB 3.0? its mac debut?

4) bring 15" graphics to the 13" this time around?

any info/thoughts?

Sometime between now and when it happens, aka, no one knows.

Highly unlikely. Mac Mini is geared towards a media center type thing, hence why HDMI was included with it. Not to mention Apple has a hard on for DisplayPort.

3)USB 3.0? its mac debut?

Up to Intel really.

4) bring 15" graphics to the 13" this time around?

Also look for a team of fire fighters to follow you around as part of AppleCare (also, ask if one of them will bring a long extension cord).

1. Im guessing early next year.
2. In my opinion, not a chance. Apple is trying to push the mini displayport as a standard.
3. Maybe... but very unlikely again in my opinion. We are probably going to be stuck with firewire still, because most consumers dont really need anything faster.
4. Apple seem to be really pushing nicer displays at the moment, so maybe.
