I don't even get it... There ISN'T a processor that goes with Montevina that is 2.6GHz.

IT"S ALL FAKE.

And a 15" at $2700?! Yeah, right.

I'm glad we feel the same way. Just looking at the specifications of the hardware is more then enough.

I don't even get it. On the Amazon page, I just see the current MBP, nothing else. But in any case, it would be veeerrrryy strange that Amazon, T-Mobile Germany or anybody else than Apple announces the new MBP ...

It's this one. The Built to Order 15.4 in. w/ 2.6 Ghz 2 gigs RAM and a 250 GB HD.

Apple's price for that is the same.

Amazon did screw up by saying "This item has not yet been released."

They just hinted at the upcoming updates not the specs.

Ooh it's Prime eligible.

Anyways, it's the same specs are the current top of line model which is that price.

However the Montevina Peryn does not have a 2.6GHz, only a 2.53GHz and a 2.8GHz, so this is just a false alarm.

Bottom line is, there IS no newer version of the MBP on that page. It's the current model. There's nothing on the page to suggest it's a newer model, only that it's not yet released by Amazon, not Apple. I don't see the purpose for this thread at all.
