    Hi,
I have a GeForce 8800GTS and I'd like to use it in my mac pro.
Since the GeForce 8 series is now used in the MacBook Pro's, the drivers from a new MacBook Pro might help me.
the drivers are the .kexts packages starting with NV, found in /System/Library/Extensions.

It would be great if someone could post them here.
    Thanks :)

Humm, interesting. I have no Intel Mac, but form what your saying Intel Macs use software drivers?

PPC Macs stores its drivers as firmware on the video card itself.

PPC Macs use software drivers too, AFAIK.
There is a firmware ROM (EFI ROM in case of Intel Mac, Open Firmware ROM in case of PPC Mac), which performs basic tasks such as supplying a framebuffer to the OS and allowing resolution changes, but the OS communicates with the graphics card and it's firmware through a software driver.

Your 8800 GTS isn't going to work in your Mac Pro without some flash of the firmware.
I'll just leave it at that =p

I think It should work with Titan/Natit/nVidiaEFI like it works on a hackintosh, just like any PC nVidia card would work.

It's worth a try. But you wouldn't need the drivers from the MBP then.

Titan/Natit/nidiaEFI/etc wont work - they dont support 8xxx series cards - they're designed to get Mac OS X to load the pre-existing drivers, while true the kext's now support 8xxx cards, it still wont work (Due to the EFI/BIOS differences and how the card's ROM is flashed).

Also, iirc, Natit/Titan/nVidiaEFI have problems with cards with 512mb vram or more, so if you've the 640mb GTS, your SOL cause of Apple and macVidia :p

Plus there's the possibility of Titan/Natit/etc needing the hacked osx86 kernel to work - and that by using it, you'll muck up your mac until booting to single user mode and removing the kext.

Oh, and not all the NV* kext's are used for all nVidia cards :p
