New MacBook Pro Owner

Bought my first Mac today. Got hooked up with a free printer, free iTouch. Had my iPhone 3G swapped for a new one because of hairline cracks. Also had 2 pairs of headphones swapped because they seemed defective.

Is there a section on this site with recommended applications, etc? I searched teh forums and didn't seem to find what I was looking for.
