I run a 2012 MacBook Pro to an amplifier via an Audioquest Dragonfly DAC and get some stunning sound however it sounds awful by comparison coming off of my new 15 inch Touch Bar MacBook Pro. The only change been I am using a Nonda USB C adapter between the Mac and the DAC.

All settings in midi remain the same (outputting to 44khz). Is this likely to be an adapter thing or something to do with how the Mac is interacting with the Dragonfly?

I'd post under the MacBook Pro section as you should get a quicker more specialist reply.

...and it might be worth making the title a bit more specific as there's been a lot of general complaining threads and you could read this one as you're complaining about the MacBook Pro rather than saying you have an issue with an audio thing!
