I bought mine last night with the plans to upgrade to Lion today. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the code after you email the copy of the receipt? It says 24 hours but has anyone gotten it yet?

Also I have two other Macs in the household. Will the free Lion download for the MBP work for the other two or do I need to purchase it for them?

Apple doesn't put DRM on their OS's, so you could install it on all three computers, the thing is, that isn't legal.

So you can do it, just not legally.

My other question is that if I have to pay for a download for the other two computers, why would I wait for the code for the eligible free download?

Why wouldn't I just go ahead and install it from the download I paid for?

You can install it on up to 5 computers so long as they have the same Apple ID. As for the code for the free version through the Up-to-Date program, I just entered my serial number, logged in with my Apple ID, and got the code immediately. Didn't have to email any receipt anywhere so I'm not sure what you're talking about there. Good luck!
