Apple's last Mac Mini and Macbook refreshes were both launched in the online store at 4am EST or 9am GMT for us Brits out there. I imagine they'll keep with that trend and launch the new MBP's around that time.

So is there any site I could buy one tomorrow and not pay tax? I see some talking about Amazon not getting them for a few weeks. Guessing it would be the same with MacMall and any other site? Or I guess the best way to ask is there anywhere else online to buy one tomorrow besides apple.com or BM store?

Well, i'm no expert but i imagine some sites would update the same day depending on their size.

I'm arriving at the Apple Store in Regent Street tomorrow morning at 9am sharp, armed with a massive sack of cash (about 2 grand in bank notes):apple:

Looks like tonight is going to be filled coffee and Dexter reruns.

I will laugh when they update at 9AM EST and all of us who stayed up have fallen asleep!

I'll be waiting for you. Please, no dye-packs.

what time does the apple store generally go down when there's a new product launch, shouldn't it be down right now?

some reports coming out, one was from cnet, were that the updates might not be posted until after the intel lightpeak event at 10am in california.

1 PM EST sounds more reasonable. Intel still has to make their announcement. Not gonna let apple steal their thunder.

Which is also a possibility. That would mean were still another ~15 hours from reveal. So if you stay up all night, your a fool.

Although I don't really think Apple will need to wait. I can already see it, a video with Bob Mansfield talking about this new tech and Apple engineers and blah blah etc.

Did you not notice that those weren't particularly big updates?

MBP 2010 8:30AM EST Which is still ~10 hours away.
iMac 2010 8:30AM EST

Uh, the Mac Mini release was a complete re-design, that's a lot bigger than a movement to Arrandale for the Macbook Pros.

Looks like we're both wrong because they don't 'usually' do either. However, their two most recent updates have occured at 4AM EST. Take that as you will.

sorry to break it to you...

the new Macbooks are not gonna quench your thirst. They're not gonna be that exciting and it's all a huge anti-climax:mad:

some of you remind me of this guy I know who was only able to perform sexually/get aroused by pretending that his naked wife was actually a brand-new high-end Macbook pro. It was honestly the only way he could get excited enough!:apple:

If this is true, the fact that he would even admit that is sad. And hilarious.

This thread will make me get out of bed in the morning without hitting snooze 5 times just because of a chance that it will be out by the time I wake up. :D
