Considering the software listed is worth almost as much as the computer, and you got it all for roughly the price of the computer, I'd say it was either a good deal or some kind of scandal :)

No manuals, CDs, cables, or box? Did it come with a power supply? Could it have been stolen property?

Good call....I must've glossed over the part of the post where he mentioned that. Without any of that, it definitely sounds like more scandal...

I got it off ebay and the guy had perfect feedback and it all looked good but what did he mean by no cables (did he mean no power cable?)

Perfect feedback is no indicator anymore. A lot of 'em are recent purchases, for five cent items, and bogus. Caveat Emptor.

If you are getting a two month old laptop with no original software/cables/receipts/etc then it is PROBABLY stolen. If it has no power supply, it is DEFINITELY stolen.

My would you trust some guy on ebay but you are afraid to buy a refurb from Apple? Very twisted logic my friend.

No cables? The power supply alone is expensive. Buy from a legit source

I've got no idea on the prices in the US compared to what you paid, but if it works out good compared to a refurb price, then great. The software will all be pirated, but in all honest, it probably just saved you the hassle of doing it yourself.
