New MacBooks/Macbook Pros: Processor Updatable?

    Hello,

    Just one question: Are the processors of the new MacBook line updatable? With all of the talk of Intel's upcoming Nehalem processors rumored in January, I am still hesitant to buy one now... unless it's interchangeable! Many thanks for your advice! :cool:

    They haven't been in any other laptop this far, I doubt they will be in these models either.

    I think you'd have to change the entire logic board et al.

    Nehalem is a complete technological change. In short, the answer is no.
