new Mail doesn't show Notifications

is this a known issue?
When i get new mail I get the buzz and the badage but nothing from notifications, no popup or message in the tab

Probably silly to ask, but you have set up Mail in your Notifications preferences, right?

I figure out what the problem was for some reason my mail was showing up as 'Junk' notifications doesn't alert you junk mail it seems. 🙂
