recieved my new MBA on friday night and had just started admiring it when i discovered a big chip out of the aluminium casing. think apple needs to sort out its quality control, not the first time it has happened me with an apple product.
 
Why not bring it back as you are within your 14 day return policy, or call Apple up for them to replace it for you.
 
yea i've contacted apple and they are replacing it, the point is though how hard is it to have someone check a product for physical external damage before it goes into the box, and it def didnt happen in transit cause of the type of damage.
