I personally find the 15" too cumbersome and I believe that the dGPU negatively affects battery life by turning on randomly on non-gpu intensive stuff. It will likely be more noisy and generate more heat overall - you have to ask yourself if these are trade offs worth it - which may be if you need the power. If not, it's not worth it imo.
Battery life is definitely important for me. It's also one of the reasons I have been waiting (wanted to see the verdict on this entire mess). I am also concerned about the dGPU glitches, but I was hoping that it would be solved eventually (sooner rather than later), and then, potentially, it would have a better battery life than the 13" TB, won't it?
Also - I don't plan on gaming too much on it. I'll most likely run Hearthstone and some light things. Would playing HS on the 15" kill the battery faster seeing how it'll naturally activate the dGPU (and sadly, there is no way to disable this and/or set it to a permanent state. We have no say in it)? Regardless of the current glitches. Let's assumre the 15" and 13" are both in good, healthy shape (no glitches and no issues whatsoever). I boot up Hearthstone. Do I lose more battery life (thus, unplugged time) using the 15" (percentage wise, so it'd be relative, of course)?

Switched back to a 15 inch lol and now I want the 13 inch again. fml
lol dude. What did you end up deciding? Are you going back to the 13"? I honestly just can't decide. Sometimes I'm leaning more towards the 13", and sometimes more towards the 15"... Right now I'm at the "leaning towards the 13"" phase.

Ordered a completely maxed out 13 inch a little bit ago lol maybe that'll make me stick with it since the 15 I have isn't maxed out lmao

These same dGPU glitches have been ongoing for years, so I don't have much hope. Especially if you plan to use non-Apple programs, you can expect the dGPU to go off for merely opening the preference panes!

I see.. The question is whether the bigger battery on the 15" makes up for the fact that the dGPU is triggered. I mean, the 13" has a smaller battery, and I see so many inconsistent reports by users (even some who only work light report 5-6 hours sometimes). Some people report even 10 hours, doing the same kind of work. Again - brings me back to what I mentioned earlier - also one of the reasons I haven't made up my mind yet. I just don't know what to think anymore.

So as an update; I got the 13" and although was nice, took it back last week for the 15". I honestly in my bag (which is what matters to me) can't tell a big difference.... and the 15" is a more powerful machine all around, and I like the large screen for writing documents and viewing MRIs. For now I think I have a winner!! A lot of fun this machine! Excellent battery life, in fact my 13 TB was only 7 hours! this is about 11, so I am a happy guy... comments are very helpful so thanks-

Well my experience is battery life is better on the 15, easily... my 13 had horrible battery life :(

Mine was bad initially on the 13" but after the .12 update it was better (still about 3 hours less than my Surface Book, though :-/ On the 15" it's been pretty much the same for me. I get about 6-7 hours out of it with very light work and brightness set to around 60-70%. It's not enough for a whole workday, unfortunately, so I had to buy an additional charger, which cost me 110$ together with the cable (which isn't included). I'm sure Tim is rejoicing.
