New MBP at Amazon?

Because of some outstanding gift cards, I plan on buying my new MBP through Amazon. It's still listed as a pre order. Anyone have any idea how long it typically is before Amazon get supplies once Apple starts shipping? Are we talking days or weeks?

My PB G4 died last week so I'm a little desperate. I don't think I can wait too long for Amazon.

I called them on Tuesday. the CSR told me it'd take a month.

but that's just one person. just give em a call.

I don't think they have any idea! It's never taken a month for them to get stock - they're just reading their notes which are usually wrong when it comes to release/shipping dates.
