I was just wondering if it is normal for the new MBP to have quite a bite of pressure with the lid completely closing? Everything looks really good with my unit visually, but when closing the lid to latch it, it does take some presure to get it all the way down. Once it is latched, if I press the release it springs up a little prett quickly. Is this normal for these machines or do I just have a real tight lid mechanism?

LOL!!!!! Thats was a funny analogy. I appreciate the info. I wasn't worried as this machine truly looks flawless, I just wanted to make sure it was the way the pressure should be on it. I never had a macboo pro before. So far I love this thing more than I expected to. Not many times in life where your expectations are not only met but exceeded. Now if I could only figure out how to stop playing with the machine for a minute and read the manual. :)

When u mean takes pressure, mine stops about 1 inch from closing it (Like there is something stuck). I have had 2 mbp's already and they never did this. this one is the new replacement that i got. Other than that its perfect (knock on wood, and only 1 kernal panic so far).
