    Hi,

I've had my new MBP for 12 days now and had it crash 4 times. By crash, I mean the mouse pointer and keyboard just stop responding and the screen freezes. The fan normally gets louder and the MBP just sits there. I soon get bored and reboot the thing.

Now, I'm new to the Mac so I don't really know where to look for any information on how to trace what caused the crash - or how to stop it happening in the future.

As mentioned above I've had it for 12 days now so I've got two days left to declare it doa to Apple. I'd rather not do that as the thought of reinstalling everything does not fill me with deep joy.

I'm a bit disappointed because I've found WinXP to be very resiliant. This is the first Mac I've bought and I do like it. Especially the lovely hi-res 17" display.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

    Ian Brown.
