    Hi!

I recently got this 15" i7, and it's working great! Unfortunately for me, I have one software required for work that doesn't function in OSX. So I installed Windows in VMware Fusion.

When I get to the resolution set-up inside Windows however, it allows me to go anywhere from 800x600 all the way to 5120x3200.

I'm guessing it's because it is software emulated...anyone has an explanation?

The "monitor" as far as MS Windows is concerned is the size of the application window of your VM. You can change it to be as large as OSX allows you to draw a window.
