So, just got my new MBP - 15". I like the slick new tapered design.

But a problem. On the bottom, the cover that hides the battery and hard drive... it is nicely flush on one side, near the latch, but sits up by 1mm on the other side. When you rub your hand over it, you can easily feel the seam. And the corner, since it is not perfectly flush, could easily snag cloth, i.e., your clothes or bag.

Yes, I removed the battery to see if that was keeping it not to be flush. No amount of gentle pressing will make it flash. And yes, the little moving catch does engage and pulls it down. Just doesn't pull snugly.

Guess I will have to declare it DOA (I ordered it off web site) so they are forced to replace it. Not gonna pay $2.4k for a notebook and it not be perfect.

Anyone else see their cover not flush?

Thanks
