Ok -- a week or so ago I got my new (refurbed) MBP (old style). It had a couple issues with it, scratches, misaligned case.. etc. Today, I decided to switch it out for one of the new redesigned MBPs.

My question is, I upgraded the hard drive in the first MBP, and would like to simply move it over to the new MBP, and return the original drive, etc. But I am worried if I do that, I wont have the right drivers for the new video card / touch pad.

Is that an issue with Mac ? Should I hook up a external hard disk and do a time machine backup and then restore from that ? (I assume that will copy my applications, documents, and downloads.)

Sorry if this is a ignorant question, but this is my very first Mac, well, guess my second now.
