New MBP SR Brightness level question

I set my brightness 3 steps down from the maximum but the computer sometime auto adjusted it to the max. Is that normal or there is some kind of error?

turn off auto adjust if you don't want it to auto adjust. its somewhere in system preferences probably under display.

Sounds like you may need to change your settings for your ambient light sensor on the Displays panel of your System Preferences.

thanks guys. I got it. I have another question. I use istatpro and my battery health was 98% yesterday and now it's 97%. Is that bad?

Did you calibrate your battery when you got it, or since?

Yes, I did it this morning. It was 97% then it went up to 98% and now it's back to 97%. Is it bad?
