I haven't found any good reviews that mention how hot the new 15 inch MBPs get. Does anyone have a good review that mentions it? Or can someone who got theirs today post about the heat these put out?

Would also like to know this. More specifically whether the 460 runs hotter and louder than the 450 gpu

or the 455

Of course the 460 is going to be hotter and louder than the 450 or 455. It's the same GPU, just with more processing cores – the 460 may be a higher-binned part, but it's also sure to take a bit more power.

The question is exactly how hot and loud, and whether the cooling system is good enough to maintain stock / turbo clock speeds under heavy load.

So even though they all have the same tdp the 460 will be hotter and louder?

Yes. The 460 may be a "higher-quality" part with a lower power consumption per GFLOP, but it also almost twice as fast as the 450. TDPs aren't hugely reliable. The 450, 455, and 460 might consume something like 25 W, 30 W, and 35 W respectively.

I'm just inventing these numbers, but unless the 450 is a very low quality chip with poor performance-per-watt, the 460 is bound to be noticeably hotter.
