Apr 4, 2011 #5 yes my ssd link speed is sata 3 6GB/s but negotiated speed is 3GB/s i think the SMS is not inbuilt and does not apply in the optibay for the stock hdd i have the CTO 500GB 7200 and it has not had any issues so far
