Really ? Have to handle 2200 bucks to get a decent video card ?!?! this is just ridiculous!

Thank you apple , you managed to screw it up.

Wait, is it maybe due to them using the new battery test they used on the Air?

I think so. The features page says this:
Apple is using a new, more rigorous battery test that measures the results you can expect in the real world — like surfing your favorite sites in a coffee shop or catching up on the latest web videos. Even using this new test, MacBook Pro delivers amazing battery life. For your real life.

The battery life hasn't decreased, they're just stating more realistic hours now.

Overall I'm not at all disappointed that I didn't wait and got my 2010 i7. The absolute only thing that I would personally find useful on the new ones is Thunderbolt, but that's about it...

I think the major problem is that one cannont fit more ram slots into the mbp so they would actually be able to use more ram. More cores more ram... that's how it should go :(

Apart from that, I guess AE, Premiere and photoshop 64bit wont mind the xtra 2 cores :)

matte screen... it is an option? if so does it cost more? haven't seen anything on it yet.

Its the quad core. Their battery test have always been accurate in the past or even exceeded their specs. Apple is one of the few companies that does not lie about their battery life.
