new menubar icon

During the holiday period I was unable to connect my mac to the internet to check my email. Although being rather expensive I decided to use my phone as a bluetooth modem so I can go on line using GPRS etc.

I set this up but I now have a new icon in my menubar. Is there anyway I can swtich this off? it's getting rather annoying...

hold down command and drag it off. Watch it go poof!

Christ... I should have known that shouldn't I, I've been searchign everywhere for a setting to turn off!

Yeah, somehow you just turned that on in the PPPoE setting of the network preferences.
